MY STORY
Hi There,
My name is Agnes, however everyone calls me Gigi. :)
Since I was a young child in Hungary, I have always had an interest in movement and exercise. During my teenage years, I trained as a gymnast and competed in state events eventually graduating from Semmelweiss University, Budapest with a degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
After the birth of my first child, we found out she had Rett Syndrome, a complex disability that affected all areas of her development. While searching for therapies, I discovered Targeted Sensory Motor Training (TSMT). I found using the movement and sensory techniques greatly improved aspects of her development during those crucial early years.
When I moved to Australia, I trained and worked as a teacher's aide where I saw first-hand how many children were struggling with cognitive, social and behavioural issues and I knew that I wanted to help families with the same program that had helped me.
I returned to Hungary and completed the TSMT Individual training course and set up my own practice. Now that I am qualified, and back in Australia, I am excited to be able to continue my journey as a TMST therapist and positively affect the lives of both the parents and children who benefit from the program.
